

Silke Hufnagel was born and raised in the city of Neumünster in northern Germany. She studied at the University of Tübingen, Germany and at Montana State University, Bozeman, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. This provided a natural transition to a translation specialization in 6 Sigma and processor technology.
Silke has been in the translation services industry for close to 20 years and works with a network of other experienced linguists. She is an active member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and is ATA-certified for translations from English into German. She served as a grader for ATA Certification Exams from English into German for 7 years and as Deputy Language Chair for the ATA Certification Committee (English > German) for 5 years. In the past, Silke was a Senior Translator/Editor for the Localization Department at Quark, Inc., Denver, as well as an on-site translation consultant for J.D. Edwards, Denver.
